Pakistan Test Fires Hatf 3 Ballistic Missile

On August 29, Pakistan conducted a training launch of its Hatf 3 (Ghaznavi) short-range ballistic missile. According to a Pakistani military spokesperson, ground forces successfully fired the solid-fueled missile at night. First tested in 2002, the Ghaznavi missile can carry a 700 kg warhead to a maximum range of 290 km.
