On July 16, the Indian Ministry of Defense announced a fourth successful test-firing of the Brahmos (PJ-10) cruise missile. In the press release, the MoD stated that “[t]he test-firing from a Mobile Autonomous Launcher was part of [the] service life extension programme for [the] Indian Army under extreme weather condition[s],” noting that “[t]he precision strike missile followed the designated trajectory and the key components functioned perfectly.” This follows the Brahmos test-firings on March 22, May 21, and May 22. The Brahmos has a range of 300-500 km while carrying a 200-300 kg payload.
