Pakistan Fires Hatf 3 Ballistic Missile

On January 23, Pakistan successfully test fired its Ghaznavi (Hatf 3) short-range ballistic missile. In a statement, the Pakistani military said the launch was “aimed at rehearsing operational readiness procedures during day and night,” affirming “full confidence” in the country’s strategic forces. The Ghaznavi entered Pakistani service in 2004 and possesses a range of 290 km.
