On May 9, the U.S. Air Force conducted a test launch of its Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM), marking the second such test conducted this month. According to the Air Force, the unarmed missile was launched from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California and landed over 6,700 km away in Kwajalein Atoll.
