Taiwan Conducts Missile Drill

Between July 29 and August 2, Taiwan conducted a large-scale missile exercise, launching 117 projectiles at multiple air and naval targets. According to Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense, the missiles fired included the AIM-7 Sparrow, Sky Bow, Standard Missile-1, Hsiung Feng III, and Harpoon. In a statement made to news agencies, Taipei said the tests left it “confident of its capacity to defend the homeland.”
