Spain will not sell Saudi Arabia the laser-guided munitions it agreed to provide in a deal concluded in 2015. Spain intends to reimburse Saudi Arabia for the transaction. According to reporting by Al Jazeera, Madrid’s decision stems from “concerns about their [the munitions’] use against civilians in the war in Yemen,” which has been ongoing since March 2015.
