North Korea Test Fires Two KN-23 Missiles

On August 6, North Korea launched two KN-23 short-range ballistic missiles (SRBMs) from Kwail County, on the country’s west coast. According to South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff, the missiles flew 450 km and reached an altitude of 37km before striking an islet in the Sea of Japan. The launch marks North Korea’s second KN-23 test since July 25.
