North Korea Test Fires Three Ballistic Missiles

On May 12, North Korea test fired three short-range ballistic missiles from the Sunan area located near Pyongyang into the waters between the east coast of North Korea and Japan’s exclusive economic zone. No aircraft or vessels were reported to have been damaged as a result of the launches. According to South Korean and Japanese authorities, the missiles traveled approximately 350-360 km and reached altitudes of approximately 90-100 km.
