On August 13, Iran unveiled the Fateh-e Mobin (“Bright Conqueror”), a variant of its Fateh-110 short-range ballistic missile. This follows the firing of a short-range antiship Fateh-110 mod 3 ballistic missile last week, but local media has not confirmed whether this was the Fateh-e Mobin. Iran’s Tasnim News Agency reported that according to Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami, the missile “has been fully designed by the local experts and successfully test-fired.” It has a reported range of 300-500 kilometers.
