On October 6, India’s Strategic Forces Command conducted a successful test launch of its indigenously produced Prithvi-II short-range ballistic missile. The Defense Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) reported the missile was launched from Odisha and made terminal impact in the Bay of Bengal. Prithvi-II has a range of 350 km with a CEP of 50 m and carries either a 500 or 1,000 kg unitary warhead.
