On August 4, Taiwanese media reported that the country’s National Chung-Shan Institute of Science and Technology (NCSIST) had prepared the Yun Feng cruise missile for serial production. Under development since 1996, the supersonic missile would reportedly be capable of ranges between 1200 to 2,000 km. In a press release, the NCSIST neither confirmed nor denied the reports.
