India Test Fires BrahMos Missile

On October 21-22, the Indian Air Force successfully test fired two surface-launched BrahMos missiles off the Andaman Nicobar Islands in the Bay of Bengal. According to the Indian Ministry of Defense, both cruise missiles struck targets 300 km away. Jointly developed by India and Russia, the BrahMos reaches a cruising speed of Mach 3 and entered Indian service in 2006.
